Conferred during FAO’s 80th anniversary celebrations and the World Food Forum in Rome, this prestigious honor highlights GAFS’s pioneering leadership in promoting gender equality, women’s agency, and inclusive policies across global fisheries and aquaculture, reinforcing its vital role in shaping equitable and sustainable aquatic food systems worldwide.
